Managing Director
Maritime education is far more than the delivery of courses and certifications—it is about shaping individuals into competent professionals, responsible leaders, and ambassadors of the maritime industry.
My journey in the maritime industry has been built on the values of hard work, perseverance, and a deep passion for the profession. Unlike many who enter leadership positions directly, I had the privilege of experiencing every stage of a seafarer's career firsthand, beginning as an Engine Cadet and steadily progressing through the ranks to eventually serve as a Chief Engineer onboard merchant vessels.
Between 2013 and 2021, I dedicated myself to gaining practical knowledge and operational expertise at sea. Starting as an Engine Cadet, I learned the fundamentals of marine engineering, shipboard discipline, and the importance of teamwork in a demanding operational environment. As I advanced to the rank of Third Engineer, I became responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical machinery systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with international maritime standards.
My progression to Second Engineer brought broader responsibilities, including the day-to-day management of engineering operations, maintenance planning, and the supervision of engine room personnel. These years provided invaluable exposure to technical problem-solving, leadership, and operational decision-making under challenging conditions.
Ultimately, I achieved the rank of Chief Engineer, the highest engineering position onboard a vessel, where I was entrusted with leading the entire engineering department and ensuring the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the ship's machinery and technical systems. The journey from Engine Cadet to Chief Engineer gave me a comprehensive understanding of the challenges, aspirations, and realities faced by seafarers at every level.
In 2021, I transitioned from my seafaring career to assume the role of Managing Director of B.P. Marine Academy. This transition was driven not only by professional ambition but by a deep sense of responsibility to carry forward the vision, values, and legacy established by our Founder Chairman—my father. Having witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of quality maritime education on countless careers, I felt compelled to contribute to the development of future generations of maritime professionals.
Today, I am proud to lead B.P. Marine Academy with the same commitment to excellence that has defined our institution for over three decades. My objective is to build upon the strong foundation laid by our Founder Chairman while embracing innovation, modern training methodologies, and global best practices in maritime education.
Having lived the life of a cadet, engineer, and shipboard leader, I understand the journey our students aspire to undertake. This perspective enables me to ensure that our training remains practical, industry-focused, and aligned with the evolving needs of the global maritime sector.
"My leadership philosophy is founded on integrity, professionalism, discipline, continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I strongly believe that every student who enters our institution places their trust in us, and it is our responsibility to ensure that they leave better prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead."
I believe that maritime education is far more than the delivery of courses and certifications it is about shaping individuals into competent professionals, responsible leaders, and ambassadors of the maritime industry. Through continuous investment in modern infrastructure, advanced simulator facilities, and a highly experienced faculty, we prepare every individual with knowledge, confidence, and practical skills required to succeed. I extend my sincere invitation to aspiring and experienced maritime professionals to become part of our journey. Together, let us continue to uphold the highest standards of maritime excellence and contribute meaningfully to the global shipping community.
